WordPress as a Content Management System

The web media platform is always a changing landscape.  We have now seen the Web 1.0 and the Web 2.0 and I suspect there will be another huge shift soon.

Some of what I have observed relates directly to how churches use websites as a means of communication.  Originally their websites were archaic and simply an online brochure.  Now it is a tool which pastors and their teams use to share messages, provide music, teach lessons, take prayer requests, and for socializing.  It is amazing and necessary for today’s culture.

One of the best things is that a church no longer has to invest thousands of dollars to meet these goals.  It no longer requires a closed Content Managment Sytstem that is proprietary and difficult to use or being locked into a box with high monthly fees.
