Our Vision
It is EXTREMELY important to share the vision of you church with the people in your community. You don’t have to use useless hyperbole or big, insider words - in fact stay away from that - but we would suggest that you paint a picture of what you want to do or that God wants to do through you!
Tell people the following types of information:
- Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you
- Our church isn’t perfect so please feel welcome to check us out
- We don’t want to judge you or for you to judge us…that’s God’s deal
- You can dress up or dress casually. It’s no big deal.
- We teach about Jesus and not religious junk that turns people off from Christianity
- Our dream is being a church where everyone feels loved and welcomed
Of course, you can tell more ideas of where you want to go. Maybe you can even include a video here. Whatever the case, just make sure that a seven year old can understand it and that you don’t come across as a “we’ll fix you up church”.
